Terms & Conditions

By submitting the payment or/and attending lessons, you confirm that you agree with all of the following terms and conditions. Breaching any part of these Terms and Conditions may result in immediate termination of service without a refund. Your teacher may authorise a temporary relaxation of any part of these terms and conditions in exceptional circumstances. Any such relaxation is at the teacher's discretion and should be seen as a one-off goodwill gesture, not a permanent agreement.

Bookings

One booking is for one student only. One session can't be split between two learners.

For example: if you wish to book two children for a 30-minute lesson, you must book two 30-minute lessons. You cannot book a 60-minute lesson and split it between two or more people.

Basic music grammar is taught as part of piano and vocal lessons. However, if a student requires Music Theory lessons, these should be booked separately in addition to piano or vocal lessons.

All bookings are final, non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be postponed or moved to another date/time.  Lessons cancelled by the Tutor due to sickness or personal circumstances will be rescheduled or refunded at your choice.

You are responsible for checking that:

  • you can attend on the booked dates and times and at the specified geographic location (in-person, mobile and online tuitions).

  • your address is within the area covered by the teacher (mobile tuition).

  • your property is safe for the teacher to enter, and the teacher is under no obligation to enter the property deemed unsafe for any reason (mobile tuition).

  • you have the equipment to study online (for online lessons).

Special Offers/Gift Vouchers

All offers must be redeemed according to the timeframes given. All offers are valid for face-to-face and online classes only and does not cover mobile tuition at the student's home. No refunds/postponing/transfers/credit notes will be issued in situations where the certificate cannot be redeemed for any reason. All sales are final. Lessons purchased through offers are subject to standard terms and conditions expressed here.

Payment methods

Accepted payment methods include SumUp link, bank transfers and online purchases via the website booking system. Cash and PayPal payments are not accepted.

Payments with  bank transfer

Lessons that are booked directly through the teacher (not via website booking system) are payable by card in-person, SumUp link or via bank transfer. These forms of payment are subject to the following conditions:

Lessons will not be held for you until full payment is received.

Students pay all expenses associated with the bank transfer costs, i.e., bank transfer fees, currency exchange rate, etc. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that the teacher receives the amount stated on the invoice. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that the payment reaches the teacher's account on time. Please plan your payment ahead as it might take up to 7 working days for the payment to clear.

The full payment must be made on the date specified on your invoice.

If incorrect or partial payment is being sent, your lessons will not start until the remainder of the balance is paid but will be billed as active lessons based on the balance already received.

For example: if you book the set of 4 lessons at £120 (works out as £30 per lesson) but only pay half of this balance (£60), you will not be receiving two individual lessons (priced at £35 per lesson) at the reduced cost of £30. Instead, you will receive:

  • 3 out of 4 booked lessons if the remainder of the balance and £35 late payment fee are paid by the end of the 1st week.

  • 2 out of 4 booked lessons if the remainder of the balance and £35 late payment fee are paid by the end of the 2nd week.

  • 1 out of 4 booked lessons if the remainder of the balance and £35 late payment fee are paid by the end of the 3rd week.

Payments late by more than 3 days will entail £5 administration fee which will be added to the next invoice.

Lesson fees (including online bookings) are reviewed annually and are subject to increase in line with inflation. When the prices are set to rise, you will receive four weeks advance notice.

Absences, holidays, cancellations and lateness

Booked lessons are strictly non-refundable, non-reschedulable and will not be postponed. A refund will not be issued (or lessons rescheduled/paused/postponed) should you not be able to keep up with booked lessons or practice (including instances where the lessons are missed due to sickness) or wish to terminate the tuition temporary or permanently.

Lessons cancelled by the tutor will be rescheduled for another date at mutual convenience at no extra cost to you. Once the date for the rescheduled date is agreed upon, it cannot be rescheduled again. Non-attendance will be billed as active lessons.

All lessons start and end on time agreed during booking, regardless of whether a student is late or arrives on time. In instances where the student comes earlier, and the teacher can start the lesson at the time of arrival, the lesson will finish accordingly earlier.

Minor students

ALL students under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian throughout the entire duration of every lesson. Should this not be possible for any reason on any given lesson, the lesson will be cancelled without a refund or the possibility to reschedule.

If a child refuses to cooperate or wishes for the lesson (s) to stop, no refund or postponement will be issued. All bookings are final.
